I work with women who feel trapped in a cycle of putting everyone else first and neglecting their own wellbeing; women who feel like they’ve lost who they used to be and who know that something needs to change.
I am a qualified coach, with a PGDip in Coaching, and a First Class Honours degree in Women’s Studies. I completely transform the way you see yourself, to unlock the huge potential you have within.
I work with organisations who want a speaker with a difference.
Storytelling is powerful. When you hear others talking about how they have managed to thrive in the face of adversity, it reminds you of your own strength and resilience.
Whether I’m speaking to a small and intimate group of women or on stage in front of hundreds of people, my message is the same: I’m an ordinary women who has faced some extraordinary challenges. I’ve been emotionally and physically broken; I’ve hit rock bottom – and I’ve found my way back out again.
I use my talks to inspire others to rise above their struggles; to embrace their vulnerabilities and imperfections; and to feel confident and beautiful in their own bodies.
I wrote my children’s book, “I Don’t Like Cheese” for my son to show him his autism is something to be embraced.
The book is now used widely by schools and parents to teach lessons around friendship and acceptance, and to encourage compassionate behaviour between children.
Parents tell me it is a story their children ask for again and again, and that it opens the way for important discussions at home. Schools love it, and the accompanying lesson resources, as a way of enabling children with special needs to find an important voice in their class, and a way for their classmates to offer them kindness and understanding.
I work with schools and parents to tackle the most sensitive issues. I am passionate about engaging students in discussion and empowering them to make choices for a safe and happy life. I talk about the subjects that teachers and parents often find awkward; sex, pornography, drugs & alcohol, staying safe & knowing who to trust, positive body image, and online perfection. And because I believe that young people need cohesive, non-judgmental support from all the adults in their lives, I also support parents through workshops helping them to understand how to talk to their children about these very important and very difficult issues.
“I saw Lizi presenting recently, about The Power of Feeling Beautiful. I was blown away by her delivery, her story, her way of explaining. Lizi is an amazing speaker who made me laugh and brought me tears in one ten minute presentation. Incredible.”
